Wedge sneakers have been everywhere lately.
Ever since I saw Beyonce’sΒ Love on TopΒ video, I’ve been a little obsessed with finding the perfect ones for myself. Honestly, I was pretty close to grabbing the Isabel Marant ones (like Bey is wearing) but they are so damn hard to find in Toronto that I soon lost interest. Oh and the crazy price tag shoo’d me away!
So when I heard that Nike released a hidden wedge in the Classic Dunks, it piqued my attention just a little. Because I don’t wear sneakers. Like, ever. Unless I’m running or working out. Never in my adult life have I worn sneakers outside of a work out. I like my stilettos, boots, or cute flats.
Until I tried on these babies.
It was one of those spontaneous finds. Strolling through the mall with my boo, because he wanted to buy some new shoes, and I saw them. I tried them on just to see how they’d look and I honestly didn’t want to take them off. They look so freakin’ cute! Who gets so excited about a shoe that they go home right after and take photos of them? This girl does.
Comfortable and a classic with a trendy twist. I literally could not put them down. The fact that these got me so excited – and sneakers never get me this excited – was a testament to my shopping manta “Am I going to dream about these tonight if I don’t buy them?”
I was laughing because I didn’t know the “cool” way to wear sneakers. “Am I supposed to tie the shoelaces?” I’m a noob.

DUDE! I totally get you on the whole “I don’t know how how to wear sneakers cause I never wear em” ordeal. Hahaha!! I’ve yet to taken the plunge on these!

Last year I wore my Isabel Marant wedge sneakers with cropped jeans, shorts and denim skirts. This style is a departure from what I usually wear but I find it super fun for the wknd!

I’m really planning on getting one but I’m still reading reviews here and there just to make sure they’re comfortable. I’m a size 9.5 on Nikes and I have a wide foot, are the shoes narrow or do they stretch out after use?
They are true to size! I have wide feet, too! I am a 9 on Nike running shoes and I got this in a 9. Fits perfectly.

Whoa, what a deal!! Sometimes I use insoles when shoes are too big and that usually makes them fit a little better! π
